A Home-Based Summer Programme for primary and post-primary students also known as July Provision.

A Home-Based Summer Programme for primary and post-primary students also known as July Provision.

A home-based summer programme will continue to be available for children with complex needs where their schools are not providing a school-based programme. The allocation of hours is 10 per week for four weeks, where a student is eligible, and their school is not participating in a school-based programme or is not able to offer the student a place on a school-based programme. To help parents source an SNA for the summer programme in their local area, the IPPN has created a Summer Programme Noticeboard for SNAs to advertise their availability for the programme.

If you would like to take part in this Programme as an SNA but you don’t know where to start, this webinar will help you to understand the terms and conditions and will give you the ideas and resources to successfully run this programme. This webinar will also include:

  • An overview of terms and conditions.
  • Information on how to fill out forms including statutory declaration.
  • Child Protection criteria & Garda Vetting.
  • Allocation of hours including siblings.
  • Payment information.
  • Examples of timetables for primary and post-primary students.
  • Practical tips and activities.
  • Ideas and resources (PADLET).
  • Assistive technology including apps for iOS and Android.
